Eight Gift Ideas For Hanukkah With Lilla Rose Hair Jewelry

Here are eight combinations of hair jewelry accessories, using the flexi clip, hair band, upin, bobby pin, and hair stick selections, that ladies and girls can mix and match to create bundles for gifting or to coordinate with a Hanukkah celebration dress or outfit.

  1. The Tree of Life silver flexi clip and the Pearl hair band are a classic look. The Tree of Life gold tone flexi clip is also available, although might not pair as well with the Pearl hair band alone.
  2. The Pearl hair band and the Tiffany hair sticks are also a classy vintage combination.
  3. The Victoria hair band paired with the Arwen dangle flexi clip would be filled with sparkle while remaining a classic.
  4. Goldie hair band could be used in a hair band roll with Gaddiel or Open Leaves bobby pins, or the brass tone bow flexi clip.
  5. Since up to three Lilla Rose hairbands bead strands could be attached to one elastic, how about pairing the Sparkling Silver and Crystal hairbands by twisting them together, and using the Claire dangle flexi in a bun or French twist, or even a half up?
  6. The Crystal hairband also pairs nicely with Winter Wonder flexi clips on a blue or blue and white plaid scarf or in hair. The upins are also a dazzling accessory for a half up or whole bun or twist too.
  7. The Antique Gold upins and Gold Cluster hairband are also a lovely combination.
  8. There are also badge clips in limited supply which are beautiful gifts, perhaps for those ladies who work with children or are synagogue greeters as a show of appreciation.

Any of these products are great stand alone gifts, but the mix and match combinations are also limitless. There are other style designs on the Lilla Rose website to consider as well, including the Aviva braided leather and hair stick clips, or upins.

Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish customers and friends.

As always,

Blessings,

Deb

Reverse Hair Washing?

In early fall 2016, I was noticing that my increasingly graying hair was breaking and dry. I got a trim, and that seemed to help some for a few weeks. But, I was also losing a good amount of hair in my hair brush. I do wash my hair daily, as I am bothered by the smell of day old hair, and I’ve been exercising a lot, so my head is getting sweaty too. If I don’t wash my hair daily, even my face breaks out. Yuck.

I’m not a fan of extra hair products, and I use only a slight amount of hair spray to contain wispy strands and fly aways. I began using more conditioner, and I used some coconut oil treatments to try to re-hydrate, but it didn’t seem to be making a difference. I rarely blow dry or used a curling or flat iron my hair, and instead let it air dry. The upside to my graying hair is that it now has some texture and ability to curl on its own a bit.

In September 2016, I read and posted on my Facebook business page about a method called Reverse Hair Washing from a post in Refinery 29. I thought I’d give it a try.

I used It’s a 10 shampoo and conditioner initially. The products seemed to enhance shine, and my hair was softer. Breakage stopped for a while. And, as a scent aversion person, the scent was light and didn’t bother me.

In January, however, I noticed that breakage was actually increasing, and while my hair was shiny, it felt and sounded like straw.

I changed over to Art Naturals Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner instead. I faithfully conditioned, leaving the conditioner on for 3-5 minutes in the shower, and then washed. Sometimes I would condition after washing too. I stopped doing coconut oil “deep condition” treatments. After a few months of using Art Naturals, breakage has lessened substantially, and my hair is less fly away, shiny, and soft. My grays seems to sparkle like tinsel. I’ve noted, too, that while my hair is air drying, it is actually drying faster. Needless to say, I encourage readers to try the Reverse Wash method of hair care if you are struggling like I was with dry and breaking hair.

My hair is actually soft, tamed, shiny here, but it’s a breezy April day! And, the 9 year old is capturing the photos.

I love being a Lilla Rose Stylist! Not only do I get to help ladies of all ages tweak their morning hair routine to something more manageable and provide them with tools that work, but I get to work with a company that takes care of their Stylists. In March we had the opportunity to up our sales game, meet a minimum goal, and earn this ten clip not yet released set of flexi clips. They sent two of each design in varying sizes. It contains a much asked for Skull & Crossbones, a Horse, a Shell, a new Turtle design, and a new Butterfly design. All of these will be available to our customers some time in May, 2017, but currently can only be found in the possession of those some 300 Stylists from all over the country who earned the set of clips, and who are selling them in person at events.

I shared two of the clips with my hard working daughters. My third and eldest daughter has earned the Jean hair band out of the April incentive, which we also have already earned for minimum sales goals. She just has to wait until May to receive the incentive, but it is available for sale now on the website. We’ve had a busy couple of months, and May will be busy too! Hurray!

An extra small in A-Grape’s pony tail.

Medium shell is what Missy-E uses for her pony tail or the base of a single braid.

Do The Lilla Rose Flexi Clips Hold During Activity?

Let’s face it. Lilla Rose flexi clips look awesome in the professional model photos. No Stylist is going to post the not so beautiful hair style photos, right? A common question, of course, is “Yes, but do they hold during physical activity and exertion?” Clearly they do for model photo shoots.  Let’s see what happens when the rubber literally meets the road.

For a bit of evidence that they do hold during activity, I put my flexi clip to the test. I did a fast French twist messy bun, popped in my medium clip which is almost getting to be too small now that my hair is longer, and I put on my walking clothes. I used no styling products in my hair, as is clear in the photo. This isn’t exactly my best hair do, or my best color coordinated outfit, but I was in a hurry to get my walk in before April the Giraffe had her baby. I’ve only been watching her progress for a month, and I don’t want to miss the main event.

Yes but how do they hold 4

Quite a fashion statement, no?

Yes but how do they hold 1

This is as we start our walk.

I went my normal 4.5 mile route in the square of the country roads around my house, with my son and our dog for companions. The difference is that I ran intervals totaling 2650 steps, and I pushed myself a little harder on a couple of them.  I conquered some hills I not so fondly call “Kicking My Tush Hill” or “I Might Die On This Hill” hill. I did get my tush kicked as I ran the hills anyway. Every day I walk/run, I push myself to a go little farther than the last time. The weather was a bit blustery, damp, and misting rain. I had to put my fleece sweatshirt hood on, and I had my winter coat trailing behind because, you know, what isn’t stylish about a middle aged person learning to run again wearing a winter coat, alternating between freezing and shivering, and being over heated from exertion?

In spite of all conditions, and my painting a not so beautiful picture of myself, or even sharing my not the greatest photo ever, here is my after run/walk photo:

Yes but how do they hold 2

Except for static wispies, the clip held the hair in place. Honestly, my flexi clip held up better than I did.

Yes but how do they hold 3

Trying to breathe. Needed the wall for support.

In short, Lilla Rose flexi clips are perfect for formal styles, casual styles, active lifestyles, and exercise. They even hold better than the average claw clip or elastic scrunchie.
